It was a difficult time for Roseburg High School at the 2012 OSAA Swimming State Championships in Gresham.

The boys finished in 22nd place, while the girls went scoreless at the two-day event at Mt. Hood Community College.

RHS scored all eight of its points thanks to the 200 yard freestyle relay team of Jesse Sadler, Hayden Boyter, Dawson Batsch and Alex New. The boys finished in ninth place.

Sunset (213) outpaced McMinnville/Sheridan (189) to win the 6A boys title; Cottage Grove took the 4A/3A/2A/1A championship; Jesuit won the 6A girls crown; and Henley finished first at the girls 4A/3A/2A/1A event.

Sumitt captured both the girls and boys 5A titles.
