Top-ranked Dufur proved too much for Umpqua Valley Christian on Friday.

The Rangers (24-1) beat UVC 16-1 in an OSAA 2A/1A quarterfinal matchup at Quinton Street Ballpark in The Dalles.

Umpqua Valley Christian ends the year 19-9 overall.

Elsewhere, Oakland (22-6) was eliminated by Regis 5-0.

Glide stayed alive in the 3A playoffs with a 10-2 victory at Dayton.

The #6 Wildcats (21-6) will host league rival Pleasant Hill (15-9) in a semifinal game on Tuesday.

This season, the 10th-ranked Billies have won 2-of-3 games against Glide.
