ongtime Medford-area teacher and baseball coach, Sandee Kensinger, passed away Monday, August 14, the Medford Mustangs Facebook page announced. He was 59.

Kensinger coached the Mustangs for around 25 years. He stepped down as head coach in 2011.

Medford teams under Kensinger played in the American Legion Baseball World Series three times.

"A man makes his impact on earth by the number of lives he touches," Roseburg Dr. Stewart's head coach Scott Shaver said in a comment to the Mustangs' social media post. "When he is gone it leaves a hole. Coach K leaves a mighty big hole in our baseball world."
