ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Dr. Stewart's American Legion Baseball program canceled their Fourth of July tournament on the last day of the tourney due to COVID-19 concerns, the organization said on social media.

They have also closed One Champion Carwash Field to players and coaches indefinitely.

The full statement is below:

Due to the rising Covid cases in the state, and out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health and safety of our players, coaches and fans, we have decided to cancel the tournament effective immediately (this includes Sunday’s games) and additionally we will be closing our facility to all players and coaches indefinitely (this will include all Doc’s games and practices for the foreseeable future).
