Umpqua suffered its third straight conference defeat as Chemekta ran away with a 95-75 win during an NWAACC womens basketball game Saturday afternoon in Roseburg.

The Riverhawks (4-4, 11-10) fell behind early and trailed by 25 points at the break. Samantha Thornton led UCC with 19 points, while teammate Deanna Tupai added 16 points in the loss.

With the victory, the Storm improved to 6-2 in the Southern Division and 14-5 overall.
