North Medford High School has its third football coach in three years.

Earlier this month, Mike Mitchell was introduced as the new head coach for the Black Tornado. Mitchell has 39 years of experience at both the high school and college level, including stints at South Albany, Grants Pass, Hidden Valley and Oregon City. Most recently, he was the head football coach at Sandpoint High School in Idaho.

Last season, first-year head coach Nate Becksted resigned with two weeks remaining on the conference schedule.

Mitchell takes over a North Medford program that finished 1-6 in league and 1-9 overall.
