Five Douglas County schools are taking part in the 2012 OSAA Cheerleading State Championships February 11 in Portland.

Sutherlin will compete in the coed division, while South Umpqua is entered in the 4A large category.

Oakland, North Douglas and Canyonville Christian Academy are among the nine teams competing in the 3A/2A/1A division.

A total of 81 squads in seven divisions are performing at this year's championships.

The event begins at 10:00AM at Memorial Coliseum.
