Roseburg's Brooke Strawn, Sutherlin's Kylee Carson and Glide's Caroline Brown have been named the top soccer players in their respective conferences.

Strawn was the 2011 player of the year in the Southern Oregon Conference and was joined on the first team by teammates Kelly Audiss; Beka Lofstedt and goalkeeper Ally Swanson.

Carson shared the Far West League honor with North Bend's Caitlin McCullough. Meanwhile, Sutherlin's Janelle Newton was selected as the league's coach of the year after guiding the Bulldogs (9-0-1) to the FWL title. 

Five other local players made the first team including Katie Leichner of Douglas; and Sutherlin's Caitlyn Baird; Lainey Corbett; Baylee Merrifield; and goalkeeper Kelsea Knee.

Brown was the Southern Cascade's co-player of the year and Glide's Dana Croll was named the co-head coach of the year. Also, Wildcat senior Ashley Mooney and freshman Kali Vickery were first team all-conference selections.
