Roseburg Wins 6A Wrestling State Championship |

Roseburg captured its third state title in four years after winning the 2010 6A Wrestling State Championships Saturday night at Memorial Coliseum in Portland.
The top-ranked Indians dominated the three-day event finishing with 298.5 points. Newberg (169) was a distant second, followed by North Medford (120); Oregon City (118); and Sprague (118).
Four RHS wrestlers won individual titles including Dan Faas (119); Seth Thomas (145); Dylan Fors (160); and Devan Fors (189).
Reed Van Anrooy (119); Drew Van Anrooy (125); Sam Mecham (135); and Jay Tovey (152) were all beaten in their championship matches and finished as runners-up in their respective weight classes.
A celebration is planned for Monday, March 1 at Roseburg High School. The event is open to the public and it's set to start at 5:00PM.
