The Roseburg High School wrestling team won four of its six dual meets and finished in sixth place at this weekend's Clash Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota.
Seth Thomas (145) was the only RHS wrestler to finish the event a perfect 6-0. For his efforts, the junior was named to the all-tournament team.
Thomas got off to a great start in Friday's opening match when he pinned fifth-ranked Jake Snider as the Indians cruised to a 51-10 victory over Ponderosa, Colorado.
Reed Van Anrooy (125) lost one of only six matches, while five other Roseburg wrestlers won four times including Dan Faas (119); Drew Van Anrooy (130); Sam Mecham (140); Devan Fors (189); and Jay Tovey (152).
On Saturday, the Indians opened with a 39-21 win over Kason-Mantorville, Minnesota.
Waverly-Shellrock, Iowa beat Roseburg 36-26 in the second dual meet of the afternoon.
In the final match of the event, RHS finished strong with a dominant 39-22 victory over Grand Island, Nebraska.
