Roseburg Wins Fall Baseball Title |

The Roseburg fall baseball team captured the title at the state and regional championship held Sunday in Corvallis. The Indians beat Kelso, Washington 5-4 in the opener and won the final game 5-3 over North Eugene.
Kelso led 4-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but Roseburg plated three runs in its final at-bat. Cameron Newell won the game with a walk-off two-run single and Josh Graham got the win in relief. Starter Chris Case struck out seven batters in six innings of work.
The Indians also had to come from behind in the championship game. They trailed 2-1 after four innings, but rallied for three runs in the fifth on their way to the 5-3 victory.
Roseburg finished the season with a perfect 12-0 record.
