Umpqua Valley Goes After OFL Championship |

Umpqua Valley faces its biggest challenge in its eight year's of existence when the Knights take on the Portland Monarchs in the Oregon Football League title game this weekend in Milwaukie.
The teams have already faced each twice this spring with the two-time defending champion Monarchs (9-0) winning both games, 60-0 in a preseason matchup and 13-10 in the regular seson meeting in Tri City.
The OFL championship game will be be shown "LIVE" online, at www.oregonsports.com/Default.aspx. Pregame is set for 5:45PM.
The league also released its end of the year honors and a number of Umpqua Valley players were recognized including offensive and defensive lineman Robin Knebel, who was voted the league's most valuable player; strong safety Chip McIrvin was the OFL's top defensive performer; and outside linebacker Brian Benson was named the defensive rookie of the year.
Other first-team selections were wide receiver Zack McGinnis; free safety/kicker Shawn Cardoza; defensive lineman John Kiewert; cornerback Jonny Jones; and punter Ryan Smedley.
The Knights also received coaching staff of the year honors.
