Week 4 Football Preview

There is plenty of high school football action on tap during week four of the 2011 season. 

South Umpqua (2-1) goes after its third consecutive win of the year when the Lancers play at Bandon.

SU is coming off a 34-18 victory over Hidden Valley. 

It's a battle between two of the top teams in the Class 6A ranks when Roseburg travels to Thurston on Friday night.

The third-ranked Indians (1-0, 3-0) will face their toughest test of the young season against the number 11 Colts (1-0, 3-0) in a Special District 1 game in Springfield.

Elsewhere, Sutherlin (1-2) is in Coquille; Douglas (2-1) is on the road with Estacada; Glide (0-2) entertains Illinois Valley; and Reedsport (2-1) hosts Bonanza.

Mountain View Conference leader Oakland (2-0, 3-0) travels to Yoncalla (0-1, 0-2); Glendale (1-1, 2-1) welcomes Crow; North Douglas (0-1, 0-3) is at home with Oakridge; Riddle (1-1, 2-1) hosts a non-league game with Rogue River; and Days Creek (2-0) is in Mohawk.

The Elkton Elks (1-2) head to Klamath Falls for a Special District 2 battle with Triad; and unbeaten Camas Valley (3-0) hosts a Saturday afternoon game with Prospect.
