Two Douglas County teams looking to get back on the winning track do battle Friday night in Winston.

Ninth-ranked Douglas (1-1, 4-2) entertains South Umpqua (0-2, 3-3) in a Far West League game set for 7:00PM on the Trojans' home field. Last Friday, Douglas lost 42-13 to number two Siuslaw; and the Lancers were beaten by Sutherlin 42-6.

The number one team in Class 6A visits Finlay Field this weekend. The Sheldon Irish (4-0, 6-0) will face number five Roseburg (3-1, 5-1) in a battle of top ten teams in the state. The Indians only blemish was a 28-20 loss to third-ranked South Medford (4-0, 6-0).

Sutherlin (1-1, 3-3) hosts number three North Bend (2-0, 6-0) in a key Far West League game; Glendale (2-2, 3-3) travels to North Douglas (1-3, 1-5) for an MVC matchup in Drain; Yoncalla (0-4, 0-5) welcomes Riddle (1-3, 2-4); Oakland (5-0, 6-0) hosts a non-league game with Waldport; and Days Creek travels (3-2) to Perrydale.

On Thursday, Glide (1-5) blanked Reedsport 28-0.
