Umpqua is one of eight teams to qualify for the 2016 NWAC Womens Basketball Championships in Everett, Washington.

The Riverhawks (25-6) open tournament action Thursday morning at 10:00 against third-ranked Peninsula (23-5).

Second-ranked UCC is the #2 team out of the South Region, while the Pirates come in as the champions of the North Region.

The NWAC Championships take place March 10-13 at Everett Community College.
