ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Roseburg High School continues its search for a new head football coach to replace Thurman Bell, who retired at the end of the 2015 season.

The RHS Athletic Department says it currently has a screening team in the process of evaluating 17 applications for the position. 

School officials say they plan to complete the process this week and conduct interviews after spring break. 

After the interviews and reference checks are complete they hope to send a name to the school board for recommendation to hire on April 13.
