160324 Volleyball West 14USUTHERLIN, Ore. -- A growing volleyball club in Douglas County held a fundraiser Saturday to help one of its teams raise money for a trip to a national qualifying tournament in Nevada.

Volleyball West offers a club experience to county players outside Roseburg. In three years the club has grown from a single team with seven players to five teams and 43 club members. This included merging with the Sutherlin Volleyball Club in the program's second year.

This year's 14U team held a bake sale at the Sutherlin Dutch Bros. Saturday to raise travel funds to compete at the Far Western National Qualifying Tournament in Reno.

The tournament is April 16-18 and the team will be among 150 competing.
