SALEM, Ore. -- The Douglas County Timberwolves adult football team suffered a 52-8 loss to the Willamette Valley Skallywags in an NNFL game at Salem Academy Saturday.

The Wolves fell to 1-3 on the year.

It was their second loss in three weeks to the Skallywags after they defeated Douglas County in week 2 following a season-opening win over the Willamette Valley Crusaders.

The Timberwolves face the Crusaders again Next Saturday, April 2 at Salem Academy in a 7 p.m. game.

The Timberwolves play in the National Nineman Football League, an Oregon-based, veteran owned, private entity, providing young men the opportunity to continue playing the game. It has been operating for 14 years, according to the league website.
