PHOENIX, Ore. -- The South Umpqua softball team kept its winning streak rolling with a pair of non-league road wins at Phoenix Tuesday afternoon.

The Lancers defeated the Pirates 14-4 in a six inning mercy-rule shortened opener and 22-5 in a five inning nightcap.

Freshman Taya Kelley blasted a 3-run homer in the second game.

S.U. now rides a 4-game winning streak and is 6-3 overall.

Non-league play continues for the Lancers on Saturday, April 2 with a home twin bill against North Valley beginning at 12 p.m.

Far West League play begins April 8 when S.U. travels to North Bend.
