Three Douglas County baseball and two softball teams picked up wins Wednesday in local sports.

In Oakland, the Riddle Irish baseball squad outlasted the Oakers 11-8 in a game pitting county rivals against each other.

Yoncalla whipped Lowell 13-1 and Glendale downed Illinois Valley 7-3.

In softball Wednesday, Glendale put on an offensive display with a 23-1 non-league win over Illinois Valley.

Oakland won big over Riddle, 19-1.

Yoncalla fell to Lowell 16-5.
