The Roseburg baseball team took care of business and improved to 5-3 overall with an 11-8 win over South Eugene Tuesday at Roseburg's Legion Memorial Field.

It was Roseburg's fourth straight win as the Indians improved to 4-0 in the Southwest Conference.

Other baseball winners included Oakland, who defeated North Douglas 5-1; Reedsport took care of Bandon 9-1.

In prep softball Tuesday, Roseburg held off North Medford for a thrilling 2-1 victory in Medford to improve to 4-1 overall.

Douglas scored a 1-run win over Glide in a 9-8 show of offense.

Yoncalla won big over Oakridge 15-6; Oakland downed North Douglas 7-2; Reedsport crushed Bandon 11-1; and Days Creek notched a 28-14 win over the South Umpqua JV team.
