A couple Douglas County softball teams came away with doubleheader sweeps Saturday.

The Roseburg Indians whipped up on South Eugene with a pair of wins, 11-4 and 10-0. The Indians improved to 5-1 in the Southwest Conference.

Glendale also picked up a pair of wins with 11-9 and 14-4 wins over county rival Days Creek.

North Douglas defeated Mohawk 17-2.

In baseball action, Roseburg settled for a split against South Eugene. The Indians won the first game easily 11-1 and lost the nightcap 3-1.

It was the Indians' (5-1 SWC, 6-4 overall) first Southwest Conference loss.

Glendale swept Umpqua Valley Christian 12-1 and 17-14.
