160413 Roseburg Strong logoMEDFORD, Ore. -- The Roseburg Strong women's flag football team notched two victories Sunday in the Northern Oregon Woman^ flag football league.

Strong took care of the Eugene Reign with an 18-0 shutout victory. The win gave Roseburg the number 1 seed in league.

In Sunday's other game, Strong battled the Medford Empire.

The Medford squad would lead early, but Roseburg came back thanks to the play of cornerbacks Destiny Serda and Jesse Herbert who each picked off Empire passes and ran them back for touchdowns en route to a thrilling 19-14 come-from-behind victory.

Serda and Herbert were tabbed the league's Players of the Weekend. The two interceptions against Medford helped keep Strong undefeated in Northern Oregon Woman^ at 3-0.
