TRI CITY, Ore. -- Freshman Kalie Mann and Chanel Stewart were both 2-for-3 as South Umpqua notched a 4-3 win over Marshfield in the opening game of a Far West League doubleheader Friday.
Mann also doubled and scored a run. Caitlin Telford started the scoring for SU with a 2-RBI double and Tayah Kelley had a 2-RBI single in the game and picked up the pitching win for the Lancers.
In the nightcap, Alexis Westbrooks combined with Kelley on the mound for a 9-3 win to get the sweep.
Mann homered in the contest and smacked two doubles for 2 RBI; Emily Mueller was 3-for-3 with 3 RBI. The Lancers combined for 12 hits in the game.

Elsewhere, Douglas also scores a sweep, knocking off Siuslaw 4-0 and 7-1.
Roseburg won a close game against Red Bluff, Calif. 2-1.
