DRAIN, Ore. -- The North Douglas softball team is in second place and one game ahead of Lowell in the crowded Special District 3 standings, where the top five are battling for the top slots.

The Warriors and Devils will battle it out on the field Wednesday in Drain. Game time is 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

A Lowell win would force a tie for second with the Warriors; a North Douglas win would put the Warriors two games ahead of the Devils.

N.D. is just one game behind league-leading Oakland and a game ahead of Yoncalla, which currently sits tied with Lowell in third place.
