WINSTON, Ore. -- The Douglas softball team notched its ninth straight win with a rain-soaked 10-0 shutout over North Bend in Winston Friday.

Cidny Dupper picked up the win for the Trojans, who stayed perfect at 7-0 in Far West League play, 12-3 overall.

The second game of the doubleheader was rained out and will be rescheduled for later in the season.

The same was true of South Umpqua's twin bill against Siuslaw in Tri City.

The Lancers defeated the Vikings 9-0 before the second game was rained out in the second inning.

Kalie Mann homered in the contest; Tayah Kelley and Emilee Mueller each doubled while Kelley picked up the pitching win.

S.U. is second in the Far West at 5-2, tied with North Bend.

The other game featuring a local team that wasn't postponed was a Reedsport win over Toledo, 6-3.
