High school softball and baseball teams are playing stretches of games in an effort to stay on track and recover lost games due to rainy weather.

The South Umpqua girls picked up two Far West League wins, 13-2 over Siuslaw on Monday and an 11-3 win over North Bend Tuesday.

Douglas knocked off North Bend Monday 8-0 and defeated Brookings-Harbor 15-0 Tuesday. The Trojans are in first place and undefeated in the Far West League at 9-0.

Sutherlin defeated Cottage Grove on both days: 19-1 on Monday, 13-1 on Tuesday in the Sky-Em League.

Oakland, North Douglas and Yoncalla are all scheduled to play games on Wednesday.
