BEND, Ore. -- A Roseburg based men's flag football team from the Man^ Roseburg organization picked up three wins over the weekend to win the Bend Desert Bowl 2016.

The Roseburg Honey Badgers defeated the Medford Wolfpack 20-6 in the championship game to take home the trophy.

Roseburg players and brothers Beau True and Joe True were tournament co-MVPs.

"In a short amount of time the Roseburg Badgers have established themselves as a team on the rise in the flag community," Umpqua Valley Flag Football League said in a statement. "After this weekend, the question if they are for real has been answered."

Roseburg is currently ranked 4th in the state. Here are the most recent Top 10 men's rankings for Oregon.

The Roseburg Strong women's team also had a good outing in Bend, winning their seeding and first-round games before losing in quadruple overtime to Medford Lady Empire 17-14.
