ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg softball team held tough against league leading North Medford and managed a split with the Black Tornado Saturday at Stewart Park in Roseburg.

North took the first game 1-0 before Roseburg bounced back for a an 8-5 win in the nightcap.

The Indians remain in second place at 13-5 in the Southwest Conference, one game ahead of Thurston, which the Indians play twice to end the season on Friday.

Before that, Roseburg travels to Willamette on Tuesday.

North Medford is now 16-2 in conference play.
