EUGENE, Ore. -- Despite a good pitching performance from Roseburg's Chris Stone, the Indians struggled offensively Tuesday, falling to Willamette 2-1 in Eugene.
Chance Beecher hit a sacrifice fly in the 2nd inning to score Treven Jacks and give Roseburg an ealy 1-0 lead, but it was all the offense the Indians could muster in the loss.
Stone gave up 6 hits and just 1 earned run on the mound for the Indians.
Roseburg fell to 8-11 in the Southwest Conference and 9-14 overall.
The Indians close out the regular season with a noon doubleheader against the Wolverines Saturday at Legion Memorial Field in Roseburg.
Also of note, the Roseburg High Athletics Office says the game scheduled against Westview on May 18th has been canceled for both Varsity and JV squads.
