NORTH BEND, Ore. -- The Douglas softball team finished off the regular season with a bang, whipping North Bend 9-2 in the league finale on the coast Tuesday.

The Lady Trojans capped off the Far West League season as conference champs with a 13-2 record, the only losses coming to runner-up Marshfield.

Douglas improved to 18-5 overall.

The Trojans are scheduled to play a non-league game at Henley on Friday, May 20, prior to the start of the state playoffs.

Elsewhere, Soutth Umpqua finished the regular season with a loss to Siuslaw in Florence Tuesday.

In baseball, Roseburg suffered a loss to Willamette in the Southwest Conference.
