160525 Douglas SB vs Crook CountyWINSTON, Ore. -- The Douglas softball team knocked off Crook County 8-5 in the first round of the OSAA 4A playoffs Wednesday in Winston.

The 8th-seeded Far West League champion Trojans (19-5 overall) will now take on top seeded McLoughlin (23-5 overall), an 11-1 winner over 16th-seeded Hidden Valley.

Game time is 5 p.m. at McLoughlin High School.

Fellow Far West League team South Umpqua (16-11 overall, 14th seed) saw its season come to an end with a 12-3 loss to 3rd-seeded Banks.

In the 6A playoffs, Roseburg was eliminated by Reynolds.
