MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. - The 34th Annual South Douglas Rodeo is taking place this weekend in Myrtle Creek.

Show time begins at 1 p.m. each day, June 11 and 12.

Youth events include sheep riding (age 5 and under, helmets required), calf riding (6-12), steer riding (13-17), goat ribbon tying (6-10), and junior barrel racing.

A Wild Cow Race featuring teams of four will chase a $100 prize; teams of two will compete for $50 in the Cow Hide Race.

Parents of competing kids must sign their waivers by noon and accompany the kids to the rodeo.

Admission is $10 for ages 13 and older; children under 12 get in free.
