ROSEBURG, Ore. -- If you're looking for a chance to continue playing football as an adult, a new team in Douglas County is forming and holding tryouts soon.
The Roseburg Valley Thunder is a new adult amateur full-contact team that will play in the Eugene-based National Nineman Football League.
The team will be holding open tryouts on Saturday, June 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Joseph Lane Middle School in Roseburg.
Team officials say the program currently has around 20 players, but is always looking for new talent.
Players must be 18 years old before March 1, 2017, to participate.
