160613 BrewersROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Brewers adult baseball team bounced back from season opening losses to sweep the visiting Eugene Red Sox Sunday.

The Brewers (2-2 EMSBL) took the opener 15-1 in a shortened mercy rule win that saw Roseburg combine for 17 hits; six Brewers finished with multiple hits in the game.

The nightcap started a little slower for the home squad. The Red Sox (0-4) jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings, but the bats woke up for the Brewers who notched a 13-6 win for the sweep. Roseburg finished with 13 hits in the game bringing the total for the day to 30.

The short-handed Brewers played without a couple rostered players due to illness, but still managed to pull off the sweep.

Next the Brewers travel to Eugene to take on the Cubs at Churchill High School on Sunday, June 19. The doubleheader is set for 11 a.m.
