SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- The dream of a new turf surface at Sutherlin High's football field will soon become a reality.

The new field, to be completed before the new school year begins, will be open for use by all the sports teams from Sutherlin's kindergarten through twelfth grade students.

Sutherlin Athletic Director Josh Grotting tells KPIC News that more and more youngsters want to be involved, and there wasn't enough space to accomodate the park and rec program.
