HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Roseburg Renegades summer baseball team won their first game in the NW Nations 16U Summer Classic Friday at Century High School in Hillsboro.

The Renegades edged the Carson Oilers in a slugfest, 10-9.

Roseburg's Jett Black managed a late bases loaded strikeout in relief to help secure the win.

"(We) did not play well but a win is a win," coach Tim Sustaire said. "We had some individual great efforts to get the win."

The Renegades play Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. against Fuel Baseball and NW Futures, respectively.
