HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Roseburg Renegades lost in eight innings to the NW Futures Saturday at the NW Nations 16U Summer Classic at Century High School in Hillsboro.

Roseburg lost the game 6-4 following an earlier 8-0 loss to Fuel Baseball.

The losses dropped the Renegades' record to 1-2 at the tournament, which continues Sunday.

"We saw some good teams today but we didn't help ourselves out in game two," Roseburg coach Tim Sustaire said after the losses. "In game three we definitely gave ourselves a chance but couldn't get it done."

The Junior State squad plays Sunday morning at 8 a.m. against Central Catholic. A win would mean a second game at 1 p.m.

The Renegades defeated the Carson Oilers in a slugfest to open the touney on Friday.
