HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Roseburg Renegades split their final two games Sunday at the NW Nations 16U Summer Classic at Century High School in Hillsboro.

The Roseburg Junior State squad routed Central Catholic 10-0 early Sunday morning.

"We played well; definitely put pressure on them and did what we needed to do," Renegades coach Tim Sustaire said.

In the final game Sunday afternoon, Roseburg fell to the Grant Generals 5-2.

"We had problems making adjustments at the plate and had some letdowns defensively," Sustaire said. "We need to continue to work and get better."

The Renegades finished with a 2-3 record at the tournament. They beat the Carson Oilers in a slugfest Friday and lost to both NW Futures and Fuel Baseball on Saturday.

Next, the Renegades play a league doubleheader Tuesday at Thurston.
