BOISE, Idaho -- The Roseburg Renegades 16U Junior State baseball team will take a 3-2 tourney record into the 5th place game Sunday at the Firecracker Invitational after splitting their games Saturday in Boise.

The Roseburg squad won their early game 8-4 over Centennial and lost the late game 11-7 to the Boise Gems.

It was the second straight day they finished with a split.

"The kids played hard today; lots of good things," Renegades coach Tim Sustaire said of his team's performance Saturday.

Roseburg will look for revenge Sunday morning when they take on the Gems again for 5th-place out of 18 teams in the tournament.

Game time is 10 a.m. in Boise.
