ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Roseburg's Umpqua Lions brought out the batsw Thursday agains the Grants Pass Miners at Legion Field in Roseburg.

The Lions crushed the Miners in a doubleheader sweep, winning 11-3 and 13-3.

Andrew Harrington was 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored for Roseburg, Riley Westbrooks 2-for-4 with 2 runs and and an RBI, and Johnathan Warner had an RBI and a couple runs scored.

Peyton Hope pitched a complete game for the victory.

In the nightcap, Carter Dahl scored 2 runs and knocked in 2; Jacob Luther scored 3 times and had 2 RBIs.

Cade Meisner pitched 2 innings for the Lions and William Wylie the final 3 in the win.

The Lions improved to 2-2 in the Area 4 North, 4-5 overall.

They host South Medford (0-6 Area 4 South, 6-8 overall) for two on Friday.
