EUGENE, Ore. -- The Roseburg Renegades took a second round victory over South Medford Friday at the Junior State D2 State Tournament in Eugene.

The Renegades won the contest 5-4 in 9 innings as Doran Gillespie knocking in Ben Herrold for the winning run.

"Great game; kids grinded that one out," Renegades coach Tim Sustaire said.

Roseburg faces Jake's Crawfish of Wilson in the semifinals on Saturday 7:30 p.m.

The Renegades sat out on opening day with a first-round bye. You can see the tourney bracket here.
