ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Renegades 16U Junior State baseball team has won three of its last four games and is now preparing for the state tournament.

Sunday, the 'Gades took care of Springfield easily with wins of 22-2 and 12-0, both ending after 5 innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

The wins clinched the league title for Roseburg.

The state tournament begins on Thursday at Willamette High School where the Renegades will receive a first-round bye.

Their first game will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. against the winner of the South Medford-Corvallis game.

Roseburg split with North Eugene on Saturday, losing the opener 6-5 and winning the nightcap 10-1.
