LAUREL, Montana -- Oregon state champion North Medford was eliminated from the American Legion Baseball Class 'A' Northwest Regional Tournament.

The Mavericks suffered an 8-3 loss to Grantsville, the Utah state champ, in an elimination game.

North Medford finished the season with a 33-25 record.

The Mavericks handed Roseburg's Pepsi Bottlecaps their first loss at the Oregon state tournament on July 29.

North Medford finished third in the Area 4 South Division during the regular season.
