EUGENE, Ore. -- The Roseburg Brewers adult baseball team suffered a doubleheader sweep against the Pleasant Hill Giants Sunday at Churchill High School.

The losses dropped the Brewers 5-13 on the season with just two games remaining.

Sunday's opener was another heartbreaker as Roseburg led the entire way before a Giants comeback in the the 6th paved the way to a 10-6 win for Pleasant Hill.

The Giants shut out the Brewers 4-0 in the nightcap to complete the sweep.

Roseburg's final two games of the season are this Sunday, August 21, at Sunshine Park in Roseburg.

The first game begins at 11 a.m.

Due to a shortage of players throughout the season and a shortfall in funding, the team has set up a GoFundMe account to raise the balance of its league fees for this season.

The EMSBL league entry fee is $3,180 per team. The Brewers face a shortfall of $400. As of this writing, contributors have already pledged $125 of the needed total.
