Chip-timed by Eclectic Edge Racing the Umpqua River Run features a half marathon, 10k, 5K and a Kids Marathon Final Mile.

The proceeds go to support the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley and its after-school and summer programs.

The day includes choices to participate in a half-marathon, a 10k Run/Walk, a 5k Run/Walk, a Kids Marathon Final Mile, an awards ceremony and includes food, drink and music at Stewart Park, where the run begins and ends.

Each route features scenic areas along the beautiful Umpqua River and whether you’ve opted to walk or run, you’ll find water stations and spotters to ensure you are safe and making your way along the designated route, organizers say.

If running or walking isn’t your thing, you can always join the fun by cheering on the runners and enjoying the music and food in the park. The Kid’s Marathon is a big hit among our younger generation and cheering on the young participants along the road by the park would be appreciated, organizers say.
