ROSEBURG, Ore. -- NASCAR drivers started their engines in Roseburg for the first time in five years with the Toyota / NAPA AUTO PARTS 150.
The NASCAR K & N Pro Series West was held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Saturday.
Roseburg teen Andrew Koens competed in both the modified and the NASCAR races.
The nationally televised race was just a day before Koens' 18th birthday.

Koens placed third in the modifieds 75-lap race and 14th out of 20 in the NASCAR 150-lap race.
He says he started racing when he was 15 years old.
