WINSTON, Ore. -- The Douglas boys soccer team booted its way to victory in its season opener Monday in Winston.

The Trojans had no trouble in a 6-0 shutout win over Yamhill-Carlton to kick off 2016.

Douglas (1-0 overall) travels to Elmira on Tuesday, September 6 for its next non-league contest.

The Trojans open Far West League play on September 15 at North Bend.
