All 14 Douglas County football teams are in action this Friday.

Roseburg (0-2, 0-4) welcomes Sheldon to Finlay Field for a conference showdown with the Irish. First-year head coach Dave Heuberger is still searching for his first win, while Sheldon comes into the game 1-0 in the SWC and 3-0 overall.

Douglas (1-0, 3-1) goes after its fourth straight win of the season when the Trojans play at Marshfield (0-1, 3-1); South Umpqua (1-0, 2-2) tries to stay unbeaten in the Far West League with a key road game at Brookings-Harbor (0-1, 1-3); and winless Sutherlin (0-1, 0-4) hosts Elmira (1-0, 4-0).

In the 3A/2A ranks, Glide (3-1) hosts its Mountain Valley opener against La Pine (3-0); Oakland (4-0) opens conference play at Oakridge (0-4); and Reedsport (2-2) heads to Waldport (1-3) for a Sunset Conference matchup.

Elsewhere, Elkton (0-1, 3-1) is home with #3 Camas Valley (4-0); Glendale (1-0, 2-2) entertains top-ranked Powers (1-0, 4-0); Days Creek (0-1, 2-2) is in Prospect; Riddle (1-3) heads to North Douglas (2-0, 3-1); and Yoncalla (2-0, 2-2) travels to Mapleton.
