The South Umpqua defense was outstanding Saturday afternoon in Tri City.

The Lancers (6-3) held Baker scoreless in a 28-0 first round playoff victory at Kent Wigle Stadium.

Junior running back Connor Yates scored three touchdowns for SU.

Next up, #7 South Umpqua hosts #15 Cascade (5-3) in a 4A quarterfinal game.

Elsewhere, Days Creek upended Arlington 56-12, and Reedsport was eliminated from the 2A playoffs after a 30-12 loss at Grant Union.

Lowell eliminated Camas Valley 56-22.
